This is the beginning walkthrough of Portal 2. Probably in an offsite or untouched Aperture warehouse where they keep all the tasty cakes.Portal 2 Beginning walkthrough for all platforms Portal 2 Introduction The way and context that which the cake is presented at the end is somewhat eerie and sketchy. I wonder what happens next…Also, the birthday cake is real! I don’t want to spoil the ending for whomever has not completed Portal, but there is cake. I believe there is much more to the Portal story, thus the creation of Portal 2. Once I surfaced after defeating GLaDOS, my character awoke to what seemed to be the burning of Aperture Laboratories. I was thinking, “why exactly am I destroying this machine that helped me?” It was very interesting to witness the mental and physical breakdown of GLaDOS due to how interconnected she was throughout the journey. During the GLaDOS boss stage, I was tasked to destroy mysterious orbs, which I found out were personality cores that dictated GLaDOS’s personality.

Her personality became stronger and stronger as I ran through the Aperture Science Labs during the last few levels where she began to “pretend” kill Chell. On my way through the maps I was struck by their detail and complexity-challenges definitely worth the frustration. The complexity came from having multiple task to take care of at once in order to get from A to B. Also, this resetting of portals was disorienting and often times made me quite dizzy. Propelling Chell hundreds of feet was fascinating and intrigued the physics in me. These levels required me to shoot a starter portal, then a secondary portal, obviously, then once I was through the first set of portals I would have to destroy one portal while creating a new one in the process in order for my jumps to work effectively.

My creativity using the portals came into play during the advanced levels.

Although this game is very simple, there was a lot going on and much to think about in terms of: how to get from one side of the map to the other?-how do I grab the various personality cores during the boss stage? I have to say that the mental engagement required for the completion of this game was something I have been looking for in a game for a long time now.

Get it? Well, I began by priming my portal skills on level 11, the last level saved, and continued through towards the end of the game for 2 hours exactly. My determination to complete one task this evening led me to portal my energy to finish Portal. The time is 22:30 on this Wednesday night.
